Spotlight On James "Flex" Lewis

This is one muscle bad ass that you don't want to mess with. Flex has a long reputation of making his competitors sweat on stage, and when you check out his body, it isn't hard to see why. His muscle prowess has been a long time coming though.

Lewis started his love affair with bodybuilding at age 12, when he discovered a book about Tom Platz. What blew Lewis away was Platz's legs, and from then on, Lewis set out to grow his legs too. When he turned 15 is when Lewis started hitting the gym scene really heavy, and it was here that he ran into a local bodybuilder who took him under his wing. When Lewis turned 19, he entered his first show, taking home the teens Wales, and then went on to win the British.

Interestingly, his nickname "Flex" didn't come from bodybuilding, but from rugby. Back in the day when he used to play, he was very flexible, which allowed him to get out of tackles easily. The name stuck with him as he made his transition to bodybuilding. If you ask me, I'd say that's a sign that this is definitely what Lewis is meant to do.
